CSV for a simple table
Use a lightweight UTF-8 file when you only need rows and columns.
Download first, then import the reviewed file
BSC does not connect to Google Drive or write into a spreadsheet. Convert the PDF, review the downloaded CSV or XLSX against the original statement, then use Google Sheets File and Import controls to bring the file into a sheet.
Start with a reviewed conversion
This guide does not create a second upload flow. Use the linked real tool, then return to the instructions.
Both downloads come from the same successful conversion but serve different review preferences.
Use a lightweight UTF-8 file when you only need rows and columns.
Use the Transactions worksheet, frozen header and formatted date and amount cells.
JSON is machine-readable but is not the normal manual import format for Google Sheets.
Use a new or clearly identified spreadsheet and inspect the import choices before replacing existing cells.
Retain an unchanged file so later edits can be compared.
Create a new sheet or select another explicit option rather than overwriting data accidentally.
Confirm that locale settings did not reinterpret dates, decimals or separators.
Choose CSV or XLSX after the transaction result passes the required checks.
Create or open the destination spreadsheet and choose File, then Import.
Compare row count, dates and amounts with the PDF before adding formulas or categories.
Keep the original PDF and compare the transaction count, dates, descriptions, amount direction and balances before relying on any converted file. A successful download is not a substitute for your own financial review.
Google Sheets: import Excel dataCurrent Google instructions for importing an Excel file into Sheets.No. Download CSV or XLSX, then import the file manually in Google Sheets.
CSV is a simple table. XLSX adds workbook formatting. Both describe the same validated conversion result.
Google Sheets may interpret dates according to the spreadsheet locale. Compare the imported values with the source and adjust the sheet format deliberately.
No. The only Google account access used by BSC is the existing sign-in flow; the converter does not request Drive access to create or edit Sheets.
Keep the source statement, review the converted rows, and stop whenever the evidence is not clear enough for a safe result.
